In 2025, CIELUM flew at two drone ecosystem events in Chile: ExpoDron, at the Club Hípico in Santiago, and "Drones para Chile: un proyecto con mirada de futuro" ("Drones for Chile: a forward-looking project"), at the INACAP Renca campus. At both, we brought our health logistics experience to a setting of demonstration and exchange with institutions, companies and professionals.
These events brought a concrete application of unmanned aviation into the conversation about its development in the country: transporting medical supplies, and the infrastructure needed to integrate it into health networks.
The challenge: bringing technology closer to its application
Developing health logistics with drones means connecting flight capability with a transport need, supporting infrastructure and an operating model. That was the focus of our participation in Chile: showing the technology in flight and sharing the experience behind its use in health.
ExpoDron Chile: flying and collaborating
On 14 and 15 October 2025, we took part in ExpoDron Chile, at the Club Hípico in Santiago. Together with Bluenest by Globalvia, we carried out flight demonstrations showing the potential of drones for health transport.
The event was also where we announced our partnership with Bluenest to drive health logistics with drones in Latin America. The collaboration brings together CIELUM's experience in critical air transport and operations management technology with Bluenest's capabilities in designing and operating vertiports: ground infrastructure that connects air routes with ground logistics.
Our proposal for the fair covered route design, integration with hospitals and operational safety. In this way, the flight was linked to the decisions needed to develop a medical logistics network.
INACAP Renca: applied experience for Chile's development
On 28 November 2025, we flew in Chile again at the event "Drones para Chile: un proyecto con mirada de futuro", held at the INACAP Renca campus. CIELUM brought a live demonstration of its drone health logistics platform to a day of collaboration between government, industry and academia.
The official programme included CIELUM in the health logistics demonstrations, and Sebastián Macías, the company's managing partner, on the panel "Health, Emergencies, Environment and Resilience". Our focus was on sharing the experience of health transport with unmanned aircraft developed in Uruguay and Panama.
The day placed that experience in a broader conversation about the capabilities, collaboration and knowledge needed to develop drone applications in Chile.
CIELUM's contribution
At both events, our contribution combined demonstration flights with operational experience in health logistics. ExpoDron brought that work together with Bluenest's infrastructure collaboration; INACAP Renca brought it into a space for institutional and technological exchange.
The result was a presence in Chile built on demonstrations and applied knowledge. The lesson that guides our work is that an air logistics network requires coordination between those who operate, those who develop the infrastructure and those who need the service.
We keep building those connections to move towards reliable, scalable health logistics, with a clear purpose: reducing times and widening access to medical supplies.
